People are looking online each day in the hopes of finding a way to start their own business. Some just want to add extra income to supplement their present job, others want to quit to have control over their financial life. What ever the reasons there are just as many if not more business opportunity scams online then people.

Fraudulent business opportunity such as the World Financial Group Scam are written using certain words in an email or on a website in a manner as to make you think it’s all legitimate. That’s why it’s important to read the ads until you understand where the actual source is from. Do some research on the company that’s offering the business opportunity. Do they have a phone number where they can be reached and actual mailing address not a PO Box number? Call them ask for references. Ask how long have they been in business? Go online and Google for independent reviews on the company. Check with your better business bureau for claims in favor or against them.

Many business opportunity scams such as the John Cummuta Scam can be easy to spot particularly if they are asking you pay a certain sum of money for the products upfront. Unfortunately some scams are just words and no actual business store front etc. They are on the web simply to have you pay for the products to start your business, and then they cash your check or charge your credit card and leave town! They move on to start up under a different name and do it all over again.

If you feel it’s a legitimate business offer hire an attorney. Have him look at the contractual agreement before you commit or sign it. A lawyer can examine all the legal documents of the company’s past business earnings. An attorney will know how to protect and guide you as to the legitimacy of the business opportunity. Then you will know how to proceed further.
