If you are new to the world of make-up you may be wondering how to apply eyeshadow. Luckily applying powder eyeshadow is not difficult. It just requires some practice.

The first thing that you need to do is to apply some primer to your eyelids. You can either purchase make-up primer or use your foundation. By using primer you allow your eye make-up to stay on your eyes for longer. Without it the make-up will fade quickly.

The next step in the process is to apply a neutral color to the lid of the eye. Some examples of colors you can use are beige, peach, tan or brown.

Next you will need to apply a darker color to the crease of your eye. Make sure that you keep the shadow on the crease of your eye. Try not to extend the color upwards.

After you have gone through this process you can apply the rest of your eye make-up. Sometimes mascara and eyeliner can create a smudge in your shadow or on your face. The best way to do this is to keep some cotton buds handy. All you need to do is wipe away the excess mascara or liner with the cotton bud. Sometimes there will be a large smudge that you cannot remove without ruining your eyeshadow. In this case you should simply remove it all and start again.

There are many types of shadow on the market. The price can vary from five dollars to over fifty dollars. You will need to decide which brands you can afford to buy. If you are looking for a more bold look you will need to buy brighter colors. These colors should applied to the crease of your eye. Eyeshadow can be purchased on the internet or at offline retailers.
