Home Remedies for Acne

Acne blemishes are often a cause of worry for teenagers. If not treated properly, the problem may worsen and may leave scars that they have to bear for the rest of their lives. Although acne often appears on the face, sometimes it may appear on other parts of the body like the chest, neck, and buttocks. The most common questions that are asked about acne include questions about what causes this disease and if there are any acne remedies that can prevent these pimples.

Experts say that acne appears due to the excessive amount of oil produced by the body’s oil glands. This over-production of oil is triggered by the hormone androgen that is present when a person undergoes physiological changes during his teens. That explains why acne starts to appear most likely when a person reaches his teens.

Because acne is such a common skin disorder, many pharmaceutical companies created treatments for acne. In fact, even some famous celebrities were commissioned by these companies to endorse their products. These products seem to be effective, but some products may contain synthetic materials that may in some ways have adverse effects to the user. It is still best to go for treatments that only use natural substances.
