Do you know that most people consider putting on foundation as the trickiest part in applying makeup?  As this is the first part of the makeup process, this can make or break the overall effect of your makeup. That’s why it is very important to check the quality of your foundation as well as your foundation brush. A good foundation brush will blend the foundation well to your face and at the same time, can help avoid the flaking out or drying out of your face to create a smooth finish. Here is a list of recommended foundation brushes that have been tried and tested for their quality, product review as well as value for your money:

Trish McEvoy Retractable Foundation Brush-though it is quite expensive at close to $40 each, for me this is definitely the best foundation brush available in the market today.  The shape of the brush will guarantee an even distribution of the foundation. This brush is made of Japanese synthetic nylon which creates for a smooth and firm application with just the right amount of coverage in every stroke of the brush. The silver cover will protect the foundation brush from dirt.

Bobbi Brown Foundation Brush-will help you achieve that flawless application of foundation and gives good coverage on your skin even when using less amount of the product. It is perfect in giving you a more polished look. One Bobbi Brown Foundation Brush costs $35.

MAC #190 Foundation Brush-quality brush that you can use to apply, blend, distribute and even out foundation to your face to create that overall sophisticated and smooth finish. This brush costs $32.

Hourglass Retractable Foundation Brush-its soft takelon bristles made from high quality synthetic fibers for optimum foundation coverage on your face. This brush is hypoallergenic, cruelty free and travel friendly.  Quite expensive though at $42.

Professional Foundation Brush #47 by Sephora Collection- you can get even and flawless complexion with this brush because it can properly blend foundation to your face. Its tapered chiseled brush is perfect for the shape of your skin. It doesn’t absorb oil since its bristles are made from synthetic materials. It has a fail-proof design that works best with cream based beauty products and cost $25.

There are cheaper foundation brushes available in the Market today but so far, these are the products that I have personally tested and liked.

Mineral brushes are the key to cover girl style!
