Selling life insurance takes a lot of characteristics that will take you far in life in general.  You may not always be in this business, but selling life insurance take attributes that you can take anywhere and apply to any part of life.  If you can be successful in life insurance sales, you can be successful in anything.

The first and most important quality you need for life insurance sales is persistance.  In fact, this is really something you need in any area of life to succeed.  You need it in your relationships, whether it is a marriage, children or friendship.

You also need this quality to succeed in business.  There was research done that surveyed thousands of highly successful people.  The one quality that they found to be common among them that ranked very high was persistance and determination.

There will be obstacles no matter what you engage in.  There is no free lunch and there is no easy money making method.  It all takes work.  If it didn’t everyone would be doing it and it would no longer be lucrative.

There is a lot of persistance and determination required to be successful with life insurance sales.  It’s one of the hardest jobs in the world, but those who persist, there is also much money to be made in this business.

Selling life insurance also gives you sales skills.  This is another attribute that will take you through any part of life and business.  No matter what type of business you engage in, you need to know how to do sales.

If you are an architect and need to do a presentation for potential clients, it’s basically sales.  If you are a doctor and need to get a grant, that is sales.  They may not be direct sales, but those same skills will convert over and be very useful.
