MLM Training for Your New Recruits

Editor | MLM Training Tips, Social Media Networks | Monday, July 6th, 2009

If you have a new distributor with your great new product line who has no idea what to do with it or where to go, you’re in serious trouble. Many new distributors end up quitting before they ever get started because they are abandoned by their sponsors and feel all alone and have no idea what to do.

More than likely, your MLM sales pitch made it sound really easy to make a bunch of money, or maybe your new distributor just feels too overwhelmed with all of that information you gave them. Either way it doesn’t matter because the fact of the matter is, they need your help.

Every one of your new distributors needs access to two different types of training:

1. MLM Product Training so they can learn more about the advantages and features of their new product line and how to promote them.

2. MLM Business Training so that they’re prepared to be in business for themselves and create a downline that’s just as motivated and educated as they are.

In reality you’ll be training them so that they become independent of you, but you’ll still receive the financial rewards of getting them to sign up under you in the way of residual income.

For every new prospect you will need to guide them and give them input in many facets of being in business for themselves. Of course they’ll more than likely be excited and ready to go, but they will probably also have poor business practices that could make people run. So for that very reason, they’ll need some personal skills development.

They may even need a little guidance on how to contact new customers or approach prospects for their downline business organization.

What you will need is a peer-based social setting where you can effectively teach the different aspects of sales and marketing as well as pointing out materials that will help your new recruit grow in sales.

A great sales person will be someone who’s been trained to be a people person; unfortunately not everyone is a natural at it.

Sales and marketing professionals know that Attraction Marketing means success. No one enjoys a sales pitch. “People hate to be sold, but everyone loves to buy.”

An obvious solution to this problem is to make it simple for your prospect or customer to make a buying decision – which of course is to “sign-up” for your business.

Your goal is to teach your downline how to inform and attract customers and their own potential downline. There are many fantastic books on this subject, however for now we’ll touch on how to create some attraction marketing methods using social media like Squidoo, Hub Pages and Google Knols.

Squidoo lenses and HubPages make great platforms for setting up MLM training modules that teach the principles of Attraction Marketing. The secret is to set up each individual Squidoo lens or Hub Page to cover just one facet of training, not everything all at once. You don’t want to overwhelm your new recruit.

Set up a step-by-step lesson plan, beginning with the most basic training so that your new recruit can grow at his or her own pace. Link all of your Lenses or Hub Pages together so that your new recruit can follow your training in a logical sequence.
