IP Security Camera Software

The introduction of network security camera software or IP security camera software revolutionized the world of video surveillance. The network camera is a stand-alone device in which you can view live video feeds from an Internet, via a regular web-browser or from your computer network. Video outputs can be recorded by setting up the network’s hard disk. Due to the high compression of recordings, it can be easily stored.

The software is directly connected to existing IP networks, so no need to use costly coaxial cables. It has a remote control function which allows you to keep an eye on several cameras in different locations from a single remote site. This function helps you to easily monitor activities on multiple locations using IP cameras. It also enables you to adjust the angle, position, and point of view of the camera even if you are not in close proximity to the site. The camera doesn’t have to be connected to a computer. You may view live activity wherever you are as long as you are connected to a PC with an access to Internet.

Network security camera uses special software for motion detection which activates a sound alarm alerting you instantly if there is motion detected. The software also sends email notices and SMS informing you of any ongoing activity. It essentially serves as a virtual command center to perform any administrative functions you would expect in a traditional command hub of a surveillance system.

Acquiring network security camera software may be quite expensive but it will prove to be a good investment in the long run because of its flexibility and quality. Considered by many as the surveillance technology in years to come, there is a need for the development and improvement of this system. As a result, you could upgrade your system while other surveillance systems previously used in the past, like Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) could become outdated.
