How to Become an Authority in Your Niche

When people buy a product, they don’t just buy products, they’re buying a solution. So if you were the one to help them with that solution, then that person will look to you as an authority figure in your particular niche. This means that you’re offering them both the business opportunity and your product line.

You have an obligation to be a leader to your group and a trusted authority to your customers. After being in business for a long time, you will have gained a great amount of experience and knowledge that you can document and even sell to your customers and downline.

This gives you the opportunity to become an info product publisher, which can be a very rewarding line of work if you handle it right. And you don’t have to worry about the process of writing or publishing –it’s really simple with modern technology to become a self-published expert on the web.

You really don’t even have to be a good writer because you can outsource the writing. If you know how to write an email, then you’ll have no problem with writing a report and turning it into an info product.

If you’d rather do it yourself, you can just document all of the information you’ve accumulated from your time with your business. Once you’ve gathered all of the information you can put it into a word document and then turn it into a PDF file, which can be shared or even sold online through your Squidoo lenses or other sites.

Your Two Groups of Followers

You will need to reach two groups of people : potential business prospects and potential customers.

The first thing you need to know is how to publish for your business prospects. There are a lot of MLM business recruiting systems based on attraction marketing principles on the Internet. Those systems were developed by people just like you, for their own use and then at some point sold to their downline and to others.

There is no reason you cannot take that idea and create your own system! In fact, you could model some of the ones that are already out there, but be sure to add your own twist and never plagiarize someone else’s work. You can even buy a tutorial on product information and learn how to build your system from scratch.

There are even some systems, which include an initial report that is free. There are also some that offer their report for a nominal fee. They do this because it will help offset the cost of being in business and they want to filter out those that only seek freebie opportunities.

When they charge a small fee of $5 to $10 for the initial report, it gives your pre-recruit a small idea of the much bigger picture. And in all honesty, it really isn’t too hard to part with $5-$10. Plus, if that person is interested in the report, they’ll take the next step in your marketing funnel. And if they aren’t really interested, then you’ve just covered your costs for a small fee.
