Free Samples Pouring in from All Directions

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could sit at home sipping hot coffee in your pajamas, while you monitor your bank account and play with the latest free product samples of toys sent to you courtesy of, say, Sony? After you’ve fiddled with it for a while, and decided whether you like it or not, you sit down in front of your computer and tap away for a while, telling the world your personal opinion of the latest gadget.

Start a review site; this is the real way of getting lots of free samples. Of course, you need some skills to do this successfully; it’s not a job for everyone. But if you really love free samples, are friends with a world-class web developer, and can either write for search engine optimization or have the capital to hire someone who can, the guy sipping hot coffee in his jammies could be you.

Remember, the worldwide web is all about selling stuff. Every website out there is trying to sell you something, whether it be a product, and idea or a service. And that’s why there are so many product review sites out there (and reviewers getting free samples on a daily basis). Using the internet isn’t like going to a store; you can’t interact with a product yourself. You have to rely on someone else’s experience, and that experience is given in the form of a review.

Big companies won’t be throwing their latest products at you at first, but if you can prove that your site is getting the ratings it’s almost inevitable that they’ll start. When doing a little pre-Christmas online shopping recently, I had a look at some reviews for the new version of Monopoly. Three of the reviews I read were by people who had received the game from Hasbro just so they could review it!

That’s the life, I thought to myself. These guys don’t even have to go Christmas shopping, they can just pass on the free samples of cutting-edge stuff to all the country cousins. Assuming they don’t want to keep it and play with it themselves, that is.
