Previously, I promised to share the one secret only you can know about your business. What one thing do you need before any of my material will benefit you?
Know your “Why.”
Why are you an entrepreneur? Why do you want to work for yourself? Why do you want to rely on you? More importantly, why do you want to be successful in your entrepreneurial ventures?
If you didn’t want to become a success, odds are good you wouldn’t be going through this program. Of course, there are those who are not entrepreneurs by default. Those guys and gals aren’t reading my material. They have no drive, no ambition, no ‘why,’ and no J.O.B. The reason they don’t have a J.O.B. is obvious.
Have you ever decided NOT to do business with someone because you thought they were “small time” or unprofessional? The goal of this program is that no one ever thinks that about your business.
I’m Tami DuBose and I look forward to sharing Home Based Business Basics for the Entrepreneur with you. I want to insure you work like a pro in your business ventures.
What qualifies me to teach this program? Even better, who? My dad.
My dad has always been self employed. He’s also retired from the military. My four siblings and I learned early the basics of business and systems.
Hopefully we all know that we need to follow up with people, but some ways of follow up are more effective than others. Tami DuBose has some great follow up ideas in this quick 2-minute video.
When was the last time you got a personal handwritten note?
A personal, handwritten acknowledgement note makes you stand out in the crowd. You should make it a goal to send out at least one every day. You’ll be amazed at how popular you become! And, this is a great way to add to and build your brand.
Before my pink jeep, I drove a 1997 green Ford Ranger. It served me well as a volunteer on the Celina Fire Department. In 2003, when I began having difficulty putting her in reverse, it became evident my transmission needed to be rebuilt.
The first mechanic I talked to was this big, burly, hairy man. His shop was nasty. He smoked. And, he looked like he’d been working under trucks for the last two weeks without bathing. I remember he was working on some mechanism while he was telling me about my truck.
Cigarette in mouth, stained wife beater tank, sweat dripping off his forehead, and oily red rag in his hand that doubled as a sweat rag, “It’s your transmission. I can rebuild it for $1200.”
One of the most important factors in being productive and efficient when you’re running an MLM business is your ability to schedule your time properly. Most of us believe that we’re organized and maybe that’s true for a few of us, but in reality for most, it simply isn’t the truth.
Do you ever find yourself not being able to accomplish everything you set out to do in a day or a week no matter how hard you try? Are you trying to hard to cram too many projects into your days and weeks, or are you short on time because you just need to work on how your organize things and manage your time?
Unfortunately that’s not really a good thing. You see, your television set may actually be one of the biggest wastes of time in your life. Your life is way too valuable to be wasting on non-educational programs and silly reality and game shows that don’t bring very little value if any, to your life.
It’s also keeping you from getting more important things done like work, exercise and more importantly, spending time with your family.
If you’ve ever tried to balance your day job and your MLM business, you probably already know how frustrating that can get.
Once you get your business started, you want to dump your day job and put all of your time and energy into your new business.
But if you quit your day job too soon you won’t have the income you need to support you and your family until your MLM business can take over that role. For some of us it won’t take very long for that to happen, but for others it might take just a little more time.
Have you ever thought about what the two most important things for your future happiness would be? If you said to be famous and succeed in life, your priorities need to be re-evaluated.
While success is one of the more important things, family should always be first. And while it’s nice to be famous, family (friends included) is more important because without their support, chances are your business will never achieve great financial success.
